This must be the result of huffing Mario fumes because only a brain damaged child would think Quest 64 has any merit when you compare it to what the PS1 got in terms of JRPGs. Which is even stranger because the SNES had plenty of quality JRPGs too, but N64 kiddies latch onto the absolute dogshit that is Quest 64.

I remember being disappointed by it after all the amazing SNES RPGs it just felt really basic and being one of the first N64 games it wasn't a very good indicator of quality.

For years I thought this was a good game, I never saw anyone point it that it was bad, I got it for cheap, played it, first things first you need that memory card no game uses ever and the game overall sucks, makes it very clear why rpg games don't work on the n64, I check back online and now I largely see comments about how it's actually a very bad game.

It's not necessarily a tendie thing, it's moreso a zoomer thing. They LOVE historical revisionism. Like how they're trying so hard to pretend Windows Vista wasn't hated on release just because they like the visual aesthetic.

It's a decent game. Surprisingly interesting battle system, much better than most of the dogshit in the N64's library like OoT or Perfect Dark. It's no Mischief Makers or anything like that but worth checking out for curiosity's sake.
