Speaking completely objectively with no bullshit buzzwords, its a very cute little game about climbing with your friends. Controls very simple but it goes a long way. Also pretty addictive.
Only serious flaw I can give it is that the maps are randomly generated and sometimes the maps can be brutal with where the safe places are while climbing.
For $5 you cant go wrong. I got a good 9 hours out of it so far and I'll definitely play more.

Extremely fun game that actually has fixed being applied to it
For $7 it's worth the price to climb with friends, proximity chat makes it pretty cool for finding each other
My only real complaint would be >Unity and that's it

It was worth it at $5 to do a run or two with friends, wait to see if it goes for that price again during the summer sale.
I like that it has a victory condition unlike most friendslop, however once you've beat it the subsequent plays aren't going to be that different even if you wait for a new map. There's also not many hazards outside of each zone's unique feature (and the ever present risk of falling)

surprisingly polished friendslop with some soul. it also satisfies the primal monke urge to “see that mountain?” and “you can climb it”. there’s something inherently satisfying about scaling objects in the game
my only complaints is its somewhat unstable for some people and theres a lot of initial trial and error. I kind of wish the biome hazards were a little more varied, but they do all provide somewhat unique twists on terrain type to climb.

It was fun. You need friends because there is no matchmaking and it's kind of lame asking in general chat. Took us like 3 different days (the mountain changes ever 24h) maybe 8 hours total to finish. It was $5 so like how much am I really expecting?

It's FOTM you'll enjoy with your friends for maybe a week. Consider the price of admission and it's basically a theme park ride. $10 for some stupid giggles with your m8s over a couple of days would be considered a steal if it were an attraction with rides and shit.

If you don't have (close) friends to play it with, it's only use is to watch streamers play it. I've seen my favorite streamers play it and it was a funny goof of a game. Compare it with a multiplayer game like Helldivers and it is completely different. You can easily play it with randoms and everyone is chill cause they know what the objectives are.

No. This feels like a shitty experience than an actual game. There's hardly any mechanics to interact with. There's no excitement or fun. All you do is just walk and climb slowly up a mountain. You don't even need friends as it's entirely possible to do it solo. Game is slow as shit, and content is non-existent. Game only rotations out maps daily so players to gaslight palyers into thinking there's a lot more, but really there's only like 3 other biomes. This is just bad friendslop that your normie friend group would play once or maybe twice. Avoid it.

While I do think more devs should make more smaller games.
It still needs to be considered that Peak would have likely sold nowhere near as much if they hadn't first made Another Crab's Treasure and gotten put on the map thanks to it.
