Yeesh. Hell, the reason why the first skate game hit so well (aside from the controls) was Danny Way being so involved and the whole thing basically feeling like The Lakai Video: The Game.

I played the first couple of play tests and I really enjoyed it. The skating felt good and the map was decent enough for an alpha. It felt like an upgraded Skate 3.

I even liked the multiplayer aspect. It's cool as hell to see all the other skaters and hit some lines with randoms. My only complaint was that griefing is too easy. It's not even necessarily griefing, but being able to place objects anywhere is a mistake. You have kids or retards placing random shit all over the map and ruining spots.

Why do people here seem so negative on it?

Actually yeah, the build mode is the focus. It's a huge lobby with creation and fucking parkour as the focus.

I understand all the criticism for it but at end of the day you just can just wear something boring and roll around on a board without having to engage with any of the bullshit. Still hate the fortnite artstyle though

I played the playtest. Its an absolute piece of shit. It has no semblance of skate culture. Its inauthentic, sterile, and corporate. The map is hideous. There is shoehorned in parkour garbage. The gameplay itself is fine, but its no better than skate 2 or 3. You are better off emulating the old games if you want a skate fix.
