I'm not sure of any games which are best played on PS3 any more. Everything seems to have a PC port, a PS4 port, or a superior emulation.

which is even funnier because at the same time shadows of the damned is pretty much a 1:1 port it seems (which might be because it was published by the studio that made it instead of EA that published the original title and they actually forced the studio to remove many things, for instance you literally had a loli in your gun)

I would say the entire collection is redundant at this point
I own it physically but with the master collection ports that are essentially ps3/xbox360 hd versions of mgs2/mgs3 are already and steam and the only game that's really missing is mgs4, and peace walker/portable ops if you care about that, guess just have to wait for master collection vol. 2 to drop
I would say pc is the definitive version since you can restore missing graphical features with mods and upscale textures
