The only reason we’re seeing so much NDS (nintendo derangement syndrome) right now is because Nintendo is the current lead in the (frankly defunct) console wars, with the newest system that sold well.
Its essentially a written rule of /v/ to dislike the ‘current thing’ and that’s the switch 2.
When the PS6 drops we’ll see a direct drop in NDS and spike in SDS (sony derangement syndrome). If Xbox was still a major player and was releasing a mainline system, MDS (microsoft derangement syndrome) would materialize out of thin air.
As always, its simple contrarianism.

Nintendo is shit. And there are indie games that are Nintendo-like except being good. Switch 2 is objectively bad.

I don't think Sony can ever regain a lead over Nintendo ever again. It's not just Nintendo, it's just the fact PC does everything better. Their profit margin is so low they could put their money in a bank and make more money.

Nintendo hasn't been a part of the "console wars" since like 2004. Console war arguments were always PS3 vs 360 vs PC even though the Wii outsold all of them, because it didn't have the same target audience. It'd be like saying gamers hate smartphone games because smartphones are winning the console war.

Sony counts everything Playstation makes, in other words including everything they don't make. So yeah companies are making money on Playstation but that doesn't mean Sony is seeing all of that money. That's why they're chasing live service.
