>>713626715 (OP) Spent $55k on a second car that I can only use for 3 months of the year for which the insurance costs $450 a month regardless of if I drive it or not.
>>713631650 gpus are etched on silicon and then depending on the quality of the actual chip they're binned down from best (workstation gpu), to 90 series, 80s, etc and that's why nvidia sells the xx60 cards which are basically half working flagship gpus

>>713632503 On avg pro 6000 is about 10to15% over a 5090 fe. Making it a very bad choice for gaming because you'd pay almost 1k per additional frame over the 5090 fe. If the 5090s power connector wouldn't be that shit you'd probably could get the same out of it. Pro 6000 just doesn't burn as easily since it's rated for higher power draw. All in all in terms of fuck you money it's more like "fuck you I'm retarded" money if you don't have also a ton of shit to crunch professionall. Which you don't because just getting another gaming pc would be more sensible than cutting hours off your workstation runtime.
>>713633196 For someone that has all the cash in the world then the difference between running MSFS in VR at 60fps vs 72fps then they'll pay the 10k instead of 2500k for a 5090.
why don't they just attach an air fryer basket and water kettle to flagship GPUs?

>>713633284 At that point I'd put the money in a cockpit repro with hydraulics and wait for next gen gaming cards instead going for something with questionable resell value because normally these things get punished 24/7 on max and you really don't want a used one for reliabilities sake.
