never forget:
regardless of how many times shills say otherwise, it is not about keeping games online forever.
it's about protecting our digital ownership rights as consumers.
>>713632473 (OP)Don't care, post more Jucika.
ohnonono perixisters what is this...
>>713632473 (OP)This is just gamer gate again.
People intentionally misunderstanding what the movement is about because the gaming industry pays them off.
At least this time we have an actual clear plan of action and can petition the EU since they actually care about consumer rights.
Ah, the trannypeteia subhuman strikes again.

>>713632473 (OP)How come this needed a million signatures, but unpopular legislation can go through with 0?
>>713633860Is there the equivalent of opensecrets.org for the EU?
>>713632473 (OP)I signed, but really, the best you can do is buy on gog or just pirate and avoid online only games.
>>713632473 (OP)This typically isn't a problem if you have more discerning taste in games you buy
I haven't bought a Ubisoft, Activision, or EA game in over 13 years and have never encountered this "games as a service" ownership issue
>>713632795I played what I think was the very first demo of it and thought it was meh. I'm interested in trying it out again when it comes out of Early Access but until then thanks for beta testing, losers.
>>713632473 (OP)I signed like 24 hours after the initiative went Online. Good times

I am of the belief that if a game dies, it was for a reason. Governments should not have any more control over anyone in the gaming space, because if game companies are forced to maintain servers for games with only two or three people left playing, then they're going to offset costs on the players. This is just basic economics. Also, have you ever considered what these "organizers" stand to benefit from this endeavor? Moral altruism sure doesn't put food on the table, and most of these greasy neckbeards need a steady supply of tendies to grandstand.
Besides, private community servers provide better experiences than anything a soulless company can ever do. If you're too lazy to connect to one, then that's on you.
