Wilds is comparatively worse than both worldborn and sunbreak, but as with every monhun title, it's bound to get better after the expansion.

Devs pushed the story angle really hard and streamlined the fuck out of everything else, you no longer need to gather or prepare, you don't need to learn the maps or monster movesets, so casual players bought it, blasted through the story and then uninstalled, which left the game with no active player base.
