My backlog is now so big I can't help but go back and forth between playing a lot and thinking of stopping to game altogether. How do you guys deal with having limited time in your life and way more games you will ever be able to play? And how that time spent could be used better in other ways?

Just play what you find fun and stop treating games like a job

Get your life in order and games will be fun again. Start with your bedroom (unironically) and then see if you're putting off other things. Don't have to become a millionaire, just seek actual fulfillment beyond the screen.

Backlogs do not exist. Just play what you want.
Games are not an obligation, they're entertainment.

I feel the same way about many other things like books, movies and some hobbies.

I don't know about OP but for me it's not about video games being a chore as much as the fact that time is finite and I won't be able to play all the games I want to even if I dedicate myself to it 24/7. Games are fun for me so that's not an issue.
Personally, I'm banking on being able to upload my consciousness so that I can shitpost, play and discuss things that interest me way beyond the average human lifespan. Really hope the tech for that arrives soon.

>the fact that time is finite
Then don't waste your time playing games you clearly are only playing to check off a box.

I'm not wasting my time playing video games if I'm having fun. The fact of the matter is that there's always going to be more things to do and enjoy than there's available time. Having to make compromises and forcing oneself to be more selective based on that sucks.

They are fun already, one of the problems is like, I want to play a lot of them but I also want to complete a lot of them, so I get stuck doing like NG+++ in Nioh and the meanwhile 8 100hours games I want to play come out
