Only works for big games. Indie titles fucking die if this happens.

>liked no man's sky at launch
>played it last month and thought it was exactly the same shit, gets repetitive and boring too fast

>liked cyberpunk at launch
>played it a week ago because I wanted to play dlc
>entire skill system is destroyed
Not pleased, I hope the next version unfucks it.

>Hey chooms,

>We initially hoped to put Update 2.3 in your hands on June 26. However, we'll need some more time to make sure we're happy with it - we're aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2. We'll update you further as soon as we can!

>We appreciate your patience

No mans sky just had stuff tacked on. I played nms when NEXT came out, enjoyed it but found it repetitive and underdeveloped. I've played on and off since, only recently started a new play through in earnest and it's the same shit. derelict ships, the new planet gen, settlements, slightly deeper oceans have all been great, but hardly make the game feel complete. planets, despite better planet gen, is still generic and stuck in 2016. every planet is just a reskin unless it's "dead".
I greatly appreciate they continue to support the game, but so many things are still clunky and outdated that I'm not sure if their intent is to tune the game or just keep the hype train going.
It's really annoying how everyone who praises nms or comments on update videos never mention the actual gameplay or about the big issues like boring combat on the ground and outright shit ship combat.

Maybe they wouldn't receive so much blowback if they just stopped overhyping the beta builds that they are releasing as final products.

Never played release NMS but I played it in 2021 and I thought it was really weak.

Cyberpunk is dogshit now, there's 32 skills for knife throwing and 1 for pistols and zero for rifles. Slop

>nms
>bugged on release
>released barren of content
>fixed the bugs and added dozens of DLC and expansion tier updates for free, as well as multiplayer and free VR support

>cybershit
>one of the worst launches in gaming history
>completely abandoned the consoles it launched for and left them an unacceptable broken mess, never even attempted to fix them
>barely added shit to the game but dogshit outfits and cars
>still completely barren of content
