>>713667451 (OP) >99.9% of the world is just water >nothing to do on the water >enemies spawning is rare, and when it happens it's just annoying >random chest spawns are just a pittance of rupees or some dogshit collectable you don't need >treasure maps make you sail across the empty boring sea more to get a heart piece that could have been just given to you in the chest you found the treasure map >triforce quest is just more filler of sailing the empty sea and farming rupees, which you will probably just cheese one method instead of organically because getting rupees is so slow normally Wind Waker's entire design mentality is to waste your time, it's built from the ground up to be boring on purpose.

What does it for me is:
>reach an island >realize you don't have the item needed to solve the puzzle on the island >accept that when you do get the item you're never going to remember which island was the one you couldn't solve before
On a replay you can "solve" this by just beelining the main quest until you hit the Triforce hunt, but it ruins the allure of exploration. They probably should have found a way to make the early game more linear and gave you the Wind's Requiem later.
