Infinite Wealth felt like one of the fastest starting Yakuza games to me. By chapter 2 or 3 you’re pretty much in it

Unnironically? About 20 hours. The game only opens up during chapter 5, after you unlock Job Selection. That's also more or less when the selection of side content truly expands. But if you're finding the game boring on hour 10 or something, you might as well drop it. It's not going to get so much better that it'll change your perspective on the game

almost every yakuza game has like a 2 - 3 hour slow burn period of tutorials and setting up the story before the actual game starts
