Multiplayer pvp based games that involve random people encountering or avoiding each other in a lobby, looting and leaving the map with the loot to put in a bank.

What you're think of are FPS co-op based games like l4d, vermintide, darktide and such where the ones that have pvp involve 4v4 matches based around progressing through a stage. Completely different genre with totally different gameplay loops and forms of pvp. Extracting in an extraction game and finishing a stage in a 4-8 player co-op game are two completely different things. Idk how the fuck you can compare l4d to tarkov.

It's not an extraction shooter. Great game though. The atmosphere is one of my favorites, it's like x-16 lab from Stalker, but it goes on forever.

You can sort-of-kind-of get around it with the right mods, but yeah, the proper experience requires a regular team. I've completed it with 2 friends and still wish we had another because the bots are deliberately made retarded and are basically a waste of a slot if you don't use a better bots mod.
