>>713683229I've yet to see a supportive argument FOR ray tracing. Just about every single game I've seen use it look worse than some 10-15 year old games, with more unstable image, far less impressive art design, and outright terrible image clarity, sharpness and contrast.
All this, while having 100 times higher, more expensive system requirements, and/or in consolefags case, demand a mandatory use of upscalers + framegen, alongside with 30fps lock, which is pathetic for a 2020s' title.
Case of point: this game uses no RT nor upscalers, has real-time dynamic shadows and reflections, and runs 60fps on prev-gen consoles. All while having impressive amounts of world interaction and NPCs.
