Clerics were the divine healers, Paladins were the divine defenders, you had Avengers (light-armoured holy spellswords, basically the smiting part of paladin split off into its own thing) as divine attackers, and Invokers as divine spellcasters.
It also had similar spreads for Martial, Arcane, Primal, and Psionic characters (with the obvious exception of a martial mage)
