I recall (might be entirely mistaken) a lot of STUP was actually the textures from a cancelled Dreamcast port. They might have had to remaster the base textures on their own to have something they actually legally owned, which would explain how this took so long for basically the same outcome.

I like that you can clear an entire area, then come back later and find enemies had respawned, BUT its always the exact same enemy type respawning on the same place. So it might feel like procedurally generated enemies are spawning but it really isn't, feels artificial and uninspired.
