How the FUCK am I too slow for SF6? I loved the shit out of 5 but I just can't react to drive rushes in 6, the game is too fast for me. Everytime someone slimes at me I'm at their mercy, I always get hit and combo'd

What kinda ubermensch do you have to be play this game??? Should I just buy Strive or Kekken?

Anon, you're in your 30s now. You're past your peak. It's normal and understandable. You need to learn to enjoy gaming even when you're no longer at peak performance.

Probably because you spend all day taking reaction tests and crying online rather than playing the game and getting good.

capcom is prioritising hyper offense because it makes little timmy happy to not have to play icky defense.
and god forbid you mention this anywhere else, otherwise you'll have stream monster capcom dickriders down your throat about it.

Just play something else. COTW is pretty good, even if they did copy a lot of capcom's homework.

This, I'm also in my 30's and I had to quit playing multiplayer fighters and shooters because I just couldn't keep up anymore. It happens.

You don't need to completely quit them. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a game even if you're not as good at it.
Though, with competitive multiplayer games in general, it really does feel like you have to play them as soon from release as possible. There's so many gamers and so many of them hyper focus on one game while you're alternating between different shit. Games inevitably become nothing but tryhardville within a few months.

That's probably what it is, I'm playing too many games because I don't really have the available lifespan as a human to make the majority of my playtime become competitive grinding. I could get by on natural skill when I was younger and still do well without becoming a try hard for a game, but it just doesn't happen the same way anymore. It's fine though, no shortage of non pvp experiences out there.

You have to have a read that they are going to go for a drive rush based on their past habits and the spacing they like to use it. Once you think they are going for it you start to really look for it.

Thats why I said on kbam and I played Quake up until Champions but dropped it before it even released from early access. Yeah i do know that CoDs apart from ProMod have tiny skill ceiling and gap. Im still mad what niggerthesda did to quake live.

I have worse reaction speed and still react to drive rush, there's literally 160ms of screen freeze when it happens, and then another 10 frames before their character is actionable.

Given you can't take a screenshot, no amount of reaction speed will make up for the fact you're a drooling retard.

My solution is to that whenever I get a competitive itch, I wait for a new cool looking competitive game, play it on release, enjoy it for a month or so, then move on while it gets overtaken by people that play nothing else. It's the only way.

Also works better for paid games. F2P games are more likely to get obsessive tryhards.

>have really cool browser based platform
>almost everything done through browser and small launcher locally
>free to play for almost a decade
>shut down the site, release it on steam and own dogshit launcher and make it pay to play months before champions dropped in early access
Bethesda are biggest kikes man. I really liked Live and the way everything was done from browser was ahead of time.

I might try this in the future since my game sense usually leads to me breaking shit and discovering metas before everyone else. Thank God experience counts for something after all those autistic hours of staring at Athena's ass for monster hunter n shiet.

you aren't slow, to react to things in fighting games you should be expecting them (aka looking for them), just seeing things out of the blue is extremely hard unless the move is super slow

This might sound dumb, but where are you looking when you play? Where are your eyes focused?

When you're expecting a drive rush, make sure you are specifically staring at your opponent and not looking at the middle space between your characters or trying to absorb the whole screen. This small trick will help you react to their dash much better.
