>oh no! you didn't heckin' predict the EXACT deck archetype you were going to get offered 20 floors from now? you lose!
>uh oh! someone forgot to remove strikes and also buy relics and also potions with the 50 gold you get for an entire floor, you lose!
>woopsie, looks like you couldn't hit an elite with the blessing because the 5 question marks leading up to it all had encounters! you lose - AGAIN!
This rage-inducing rng-fest is supposed to be the greatest roguelike of all time?
the skill is in managing the rng optimally
Monster Train 2 is better
Chrono Ark is better
Alina of the Arena is better
But hopefully Slay the Spire 2 is a big improvement.
>>713704970If that's the basis of your core gameplay loop - you made a shit game.
>>713705250> deck game has randomyou know that every non-rpg tabletop except for shit like chess shogi and go is odds micromanagment, right.
>>713706442Yes, I'm aware that some rng is necessary, jackass. Got anything of actual substance to say? I'll let you try again.
>>713705250And yet people make a living playing poker.
>>713706582You didn't seem to be aware of it based on your last retarded post.
>>713705110>Monster Train 2 is betterI reached covenant 10 and got bored shitless. I dont mind extra challenge, its that all bosses are the same with slightly different mechanics which is not really THAT gameplay altering. If we got a completely new set of bosses every 5 covenant levels it would be way more exciting.
>>713705250Thats the entire skill expression of anything involving decks irl or ingame
As far as I know, the current rotating streak world record is 14.
Considering that watcher runs are effectively auto wins, the best StS player on the planet was able to only win 11 runs in a row.
Even a number closer to it being replicated is quite rare, which means luck is heavily involved. \
The odds of winning 11 coin flips in a row is 1:2048. Not that rare of a chance, considering how many people play this game for a long time.
Also I watched some records of aforementioned streak, this guy expends more brainpower on thoroughly calculating every decision and all its possible consequences, than 95% of white collar specialists do on their jobs.
tldr yes, as a matter of fact it's indeed a fucking casino

>>713704705 (OP)Roguelites are the videogame equivalent of slots. Most of them are bad games that require 0 skill other than game knowledge (ie not a skill) and that are liked because when the rng goes your way the numbers go big, the screen flashes and you win.
>>713704705 (OP)I agree op. Slay the spire is rogue slop. Theres many better, more fair rogue like card games out there. This was just the first big one that introduced people to the concept, but its ass.
>>713705110Is completely correct.
>>713707208I mean. Slay the Spire is no better in that regard. The same bosses over and over and over.
>miniscule number of runs lose to RNG = entire game is a casino
ah /v/ never change
>even the best players can't win half of their ascents due to RNG
Shit game
>>713704705 (OP)I can literally win every every single run below ascension 10. what is your problem op?
>>713704705 (OP)Didn't Lifecoach prove the game isn't RNG by beating it like 15+ times in a row on A20?
Sounds like a skill issue.
