There are lots of examples of games having some several million players only to find out after internal reports come out that the game underperformed and didn't turn a profit
this issue doesn't seem to happen for music/movies/tv shows, so why is it just games? could it be, I dunno, that the forms of media aren't actually as comparable as you'd like to claim them to be?
