I'm literally on NG++ right now.
Does anyone know if chapter 3 has a secret item to make Yellowbrow easier?
I can't seem to remember if I missed something.
Chapter 1 has the fire mantle, chapter 2 has the bell, chapter 4 has the needle. But I can't remember if chapter 3 had anything, and looking it up was tougher than expected

Also does anyone still believe that we're getting the DLC they teased last year?

Once you've gone to NG+ or higher you should just be using Spellbinder because the damage buff from it is beyond ridiculous past NG and that's one of the main counters to Yellowbrow since he counters most of what you can use.

I bought it but haven't started it.

Nah, it doesn't have a special item. It's the only chapter to do so. Pretty sure that's the chapter you get Spellbinder in as well so it's likely that was the intended "item" to use because of how he counters basically everything you have.

apparently it runs pretty bad in later chapters on playstation so I never bothered

I platinumed it on the PS5 and the only issues I had were with the DLSS, not the performance. Quality mode sticks to 30 and the only drop I can recall is something in chapter 3. Performance mode was mostly 60 outside of that same frame drop. Keep in mind they've been patching it ever since launch. You will get major drops if there's insane amounts of dust, particle effects, and you have A Pluck of Many going.

I did my first playthrough on Quality, NG+ and a bit of NG++ on Performance. I think that's the way to go. Get your screenshots done on Quality and then play through the rest on Performance because Performance really does look much worse and I personally don't think the graphical hit is worth the slightly better feel of combat for your initial experience. Everything looks flatter, the particle effects look worse, and it makes the game look duller and less spectacular in exchange for the 60 FPS. The game is a very visually appealing game and losing that means losing part of the whole appeal of the game.

I'm also someone who does not lose their mind over playing at 30 FPS so keep that in mind because it's not a big deal to me and I usually pick Quality over Performance unless there's virtually no visual difference.
