Honest answer? Its considered funny or cute when women do stuff like that. Like a girl stalker like Tootie or that rabbit girl from Chowder who always says "you're my boyfriend." I just don't think women, in large, are capable of the focus and passion most men are regarding hobbies and interest. Maybe it's entirely cultural, but just look at any time they've tried a women's leage/team eSport or even co-ed.
Hell just look at chess deciding to have a seperate women's league as an option, and that has zero physical requirements.

The lack of women performing well in any unisex competitive vidya setting. Even in the rare situations where a woman could reasonable compete at the highest level, it's usually more lucrative for them to dunk on other women than aim for the highest level of play. When games just got released in the stores and put on the shelves, they were placed in the "boys section" because nobody believed girls would play video games back then. It basically all came down to marketing and generations kept following this trend.
