6/10 - not the best, not the worst
>Frost Islands
4/10 - the parts with the shipwrecks are interesting, everything else is boring
>Lava Caverns
5/10 - some decent variety for a volcano map but you fight in the caves 75% of the time and never near the top with a flowing river of lava
>Flooded Forest
8/10 - neat explorable areas and no annoying areas to fight in
>Sandy Plains
7/10 - soulful recreation with nice exploration, the dunes areas, both above and below, look great but that one area between the dunes and the middle of the map is awful to fight in
>The Jungle
10/10 - amazing recreation where exploration, visuals, and fighting feels good

9/10 - the middle of the map is kinda boring but everything else along the edges is great

Both of the hubs are done well with Elgado edging out a bit just for the better room customization. Also, ymmv with Kamura's music.
The only thing that throws me off is the body model. If you zoom in too close, you notice how blocky you are, so cover yourself in armor as much as you can.
Ugly, especially that weird fucking carpet at the command area of Elgado that is bizarrely low res.
Game looks like shit honestly
Wilds is a piece of shit garbage game that runs and looks like shit but one thing I do like is the sense of scale and threat the more realistic looking monsters exude. Rise just has this weird plastic sheen on everything

I'm really sick of the Japanese aesthetic with cherry blossoms and pagodas and kimonos and dango and all that... Even worse, the player character does Naruto stuff with kunais and wall running. It's obnoxious

Elgado sucked as a hub simply because there was a GIANT LOUD-ASS WATERWHEEL CONSTANTLY MAKING NOISE right behind the quest board.

the biggest flaw is the environments, which are often a bit washed out and visually uninteresting. While I think the rise map design is great with wirebug mobility, the fact that the maps are seamless means you don't get the same big vistas you see in classic mh
