those aren't video games, they're what is commonly called "post-games"

Yes but I'm an adult now, I've got the patience to wait 5 years until it's 70% off or whatever price I consider reasonable for the title in question

I want 10 games with meant and substance for 30$ and if I don't get it Ill just pirate them. I willing to support the devs but if I have to choose between bread and games Ill just steal both and you can suck my dick.

This is why E33 was so based. Cheaper than usual, and easily Game of the Decade.

They are. Games need to be $20-40 tops, not because of how much they cost to make or what they're worth to people but because the game industry succeeded in switching everyone from physical to digital. Grats to them except a mature digital gaming environment is one where people who have been building up their libraries for 10 years don't need shit from you on your schedule. They can wait for you to get desperate and sell your AAA game for 20 bucks because they didn't trade in all their games for new ones. They can wait for the price to drop to like 30 bucks and then you remove the standard edition from the store and put up a compete edition at full price and then when you get desperate and sell that for 20 bucks they can buy it. Microsoft saw this coming, making you subscribe for games is really their only way out other than lower prices but it's not hard or expensive to build a good library on xbox still.

Despite having the money to pay any price they ask, I'm so backlogged that I have little to no incentive to buy new games on release. A grand irony.

the real question is why do gamers buy full price games when its been continously demonstrated they go on large sales within 6 months of release except nintendo ofc
