>>713754716Switch 2 sold quickly because the people claiming they would protest Nintendo and the Switch 2 are the overwhelming minority of people. Mario Kart on console with online will sell regardless of its quality, and after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it was guaranteed to hit. Nobody know how good Mario Kart World would or wouldn't be, they just knew it was Mario Kart and that's enough.
Historically, gamers have been dogshit at "protesting" and "boycotting" anything when it comes to games and hardware for games. They will make all kinds of videos, social media posts, etc about how dissatisfied with how things are, but they will be right there on launch day to buy the console or will be the first ones to buy whatever paid DLC becomes available because they can't help themselves. They NEED the video game and Nintendo is just smart enough to know that all the words from YouTubers, journalists and such don't mean anything. That's doubly true for Nintendo youtubers and Nintendo content creators.
You, me and people who come to these imageboards, forums, and all that are the minority. A growingly louder minority, but still a minority. This Mario Kart World online update to make Random force people to do intermissions isn't ruining anything for Nintendo or for Mario Kart World. This is just a mild inconvenience that will blow over literally tomorrow since everyone will continue to play the game anyway and will have no significant impact on player retention or future sales of games and DLC. Everyone is going to keep buying it so Nintendo has no reason to worry about anything.
