How cheap do OLEDs have to get before poorfags stop bitching?
You can now buy a 42" 4k 144hz TV for like $700. I've seen the 27" 1440p 240hz QD-OLED monitors go for like $450, and they've probably been cheaper than that. It wasn't too long ago that 240hz IPS panels were that expensive. It's going to be funny when even the most miserly poorfags can finally afford them then everyone pretends like they always knew it's incredible tech and they would never use anything else

Cheap enough to not be more expensive than every other monitor I'm using. 16+ hours every day, half of it is productivity mostly on the same screen.
I have to vomit when I see that shitty youtube monitor channel video of "IM DELIBERATELY BURNING IN MY OLED"
Dude you are using it like a normal monitor. I have an Oled for a TV, I'm running it 4-5 hours a day on varied content, that is okay. But as a god damn monitor? You are either not using it or you can replace it in every six months.

I still use the same led tv from 8 years ago because I'm not a consumerist whore, and only bought it because my dog broke the previous one by throwing a fucking ball at it
Since Oled can't even last 3 years, I'd rather avoid it until they're like ยฃ300

Been using OLED laptops since 2016, as long as you dont mind babying it and you watch/play a lot of shit then go for it. Dont buy it if you only play competitive games or dont watch/play a lot of shit.
OLEDs have gotten more resistant to burn-in but it will still happen eventually; nothing we cant do till micro-led reaches consumer market.

Even if they figure out how to fix every single flaw with the technology (impossible) and become cheaper than LCD, I will absolutely never buy an OLED.

I'm too much involved in static content (browsing, reading, etc) to buy an OLED. Do I like it? Sure, but it just doesn't make sense for me to buy an OLED monitor.

Also a reminder that IPS comes with low light deformities (backlight bleed) and glow burned in straight from the factory, kek. You can't even look at your 800:1 "blacks" without being reminded of how much of a poorfag you are.

I'm currently shopping for a monitor/TV and I would go oled but burn in is a thing. I use my TV as a monitor often and things like task bars browsers bars etc are static and on screen for long periods of time. Not a good combo

Yeah if you're permanently in the shade or only out at night. 15,000 nits is the standard target for outdoor displays.

They would need to become free because I want replacements for free when the static elements that are one areas of my monitor 16 hours a day, every single day burn in.

No I am not using your meme pixel refresh, I'm not turning the monitor off every few hours and I'm not using any other retarded bandaids for this shit technology.
