It stopped me when I was a kid. The real problem with it is that if you jump on it the barrel bounces down a little and then goes back to its position and the harder you bounce on it the further it goes. So not only are you being asked to use a button that you've never used before the game makes it seem like its some kind of puzzle you solve by jumping on the thing.

I played the dlc with tutorials turned off because I didn't want to be told how to crouch for the 100th time.
I thought it was really strange that the final boss was so much harder than the rest of the game.
I was about to beat her, but then she began to power up and instantly kill me.
Turns out Rose gets magical BOW powers when you fight her and the game didn't tell me because I turned the tutorial off.
The fight is actually very easy.

It's been so many years I actually watched a clip to see if my memory betrayed me. It's even easier than I remembered. One regenerator will spawn AFTER you picked up the scope and everything is shown with cutscenes. It couldn't be easier.

dude, watch a few minutes before that. the scope is in a locked room. you go to another room to get the key and the first regenerator spawns there. then there's another one in the corridor outside (the one shown in the op). if you decide to fight these first two regenerators, you'll have to do it without the scope.

I was referring to the op which was about the scope. The earlier ones you're not supposed to be able to deal with easily. It's an attempt to add a bit of horror to what used to be a horror series.

There are still many ways to deal with them even if you don't know their weakness.
>A few lucky shotgun blasts should get the parasites
>there are explosive barrels around
>Grenades can also deal with it
>Blow up a limb to have a short window to run past
>Blow up its head to have several seconds to walk past
At this point in the game you should have enough of an arsenal to deal with them.
