>release game even the most braindamaged /v/tard could clear
>add one or two hard bosses at the end to feign an attempt at difficulty (sometimes patched in months after the fact)
>monster hunter vets eat it up
They've been doing this for decades

>Wilds is easy
isnt actually what people are saying, people are short handing the argument out of laziness (or theyre fed up of spelling it out when we should all know what the actual point is)
Wilds isnt easy, nor was sunbreak in that they both had mons with really fast attack strings that could easily one shot you with high defence and such, even upgraded. Things like novas or especially in rises case, bullshit moves.

What made rise so pathetically easy, was the overpowered hunter abilities. Most weapons had at least one, instant, one button super parry that completely nullified an attack as a silkbind skill. You had wirefall, the dog, healing that gave you 50% of the potion up front, really powerful stuns, wyvern riding knockdowns and free damage etc etc
Wilds, to be fair is less bad than rise for this, but you still have half the weapons having offsets, perfect guards, or dodges in some form. You sill have massive environment damage, stuns, flinches, and of course wounds doing massive damage AND stuns. (plus tiny monster HP pools)

When people say its easy, they mean mechanically easy compared to old MH. Not necessarily as a measure of death count or monster damage. No one wants more bullshit monster moves with +3000% more damage, they want to be more vulnerable and weaker so it feels harder to win. Not easier to lose.

The point is its not engaging, whats engaging and memorable is being david fighting goliath, not being a david sized goliath fighting a goliath.

Smacking rey dau out of the sky with an offset feels fucking incredible and looks amazing... but everyone does it at some point, multiple times... its hardly something youd gather round the table for and tell the tale of, unlike doing it in something like MHFU where that kind of shit was rare and down to the player, not given to the player.

Sounds like a personal issue. It always feels great to me.

FU didn't have offset attacks so basically you'd be referring to a moment where the player manages to counter/stun a monster with a normal attack... Which is still entirely possible in Wilds.

But wilds is easy is exactly what I'm saying.
Focus mode and strike made dmg output much more consistent, I don't even think it's bad but it streamlines most weapons so thouroughly that monsters die in no time since they didn't adjust the healthpools for it.
Birb pickup and heal lets you mitigate every danger so that people will ignore to criticise it because pushing up and heal alrdy is in their muscle memory. This is in addition of every weapon having gained one or more additional defensive options in form of guardpoints, offsets or parries. But we are still fighting the same monsters as always that get absolutely obliterated by that arsenal. And there is no incentive to farm anything because you don't need it. Every weapon uses a mix out of the same 2.5 armorsets with the exception of gl and monster specific builds are not necessary.

the OP is showing temp Mizu and saying ACK as if to say temp mizu means wilds isnt easy.
What I just said is that when people say wilds is easy, theyre not talking about monsters not killing you or hitting hard, theyre talking about mechanics. Wilds is easy because of the power the hunters have, making the monsters hit harder like with temp mizu wont change that, and so I was highlighting why OP is off base with the counter to the easy complaints
I really wish people would read, or do more than scan read, before replying. You literally just repeated what I said, there was no "but" needed anon.

If you offset the big tail slam it should revert damage done to other players who get hit in the half second of latency it takes to register that attack being deflected.

I know latency will fuck this up but it would feel so good.

Temp Mizu is only hard with certain weapons, if you can play 2 or 3 it isn't a problem because you just can switch to something that has the tools to avoid the onehits. Problem is that the rest of wilds didn't really asked you to learn another weapon because of their kit with the exception of maybe arch temp rey were you were basically just running after it trying to catch it with some weapons without getting the window to do dmg. Basically was impossible to put a wyrmspike into the thing. That isn't really uncommon for monhun in general tho so easy after a switch = still easy.

>isnt actually what people are saying
no, it really is just that easy. That's exactly what i'm saying
risebreak is also just 'that easy'.
>When people say its easy, they mean mechanically easy compared to old MH. Not necessarily as a measure of death count or monster damage
Its both easier mechanically, and on death count. There's very little challenge, in both games. As soon as you get a decent build in risebreak, you could just facetank most of the monster with ease, especially with every weapon have tons of i-frames and counters. worldborne was also very easy outside of arena, fatty and alatareon
