it is, but with an emphasis on simulator. it makes walking interesting. different terrains cause you to move differently and at different speeds and less/more likely to trip or lose balance. natural paths are formed over time by players, the most tread ground has natural trails appear that are easier to traverse than existing terrain.
it's a very interesting design, and the act of walking in your game affects the act of walking in another's.

If this was any other studio the world map would be just as big but covered in markers and random bullshit along the way. You wouldn't get any stretches of terrain like this where it's just you and the wilderness. You'd be able to move faster than this webm, but you'd have to do something gay and retarded like constantly spam dash or the game would just have a magic mount that appears at your side whenever you have to spend more than 10 seconds traversing and it would also have a dash to spam.

Apologize to Kojima for treating you with intelligence and respect for once and not like a tiktok brainrotted zoomer like most devs.

can someone tell me
should I just do standard orders when I get them? like are they limited or do they just replenish infinitely
also is there a way to hide certain types of shared content? I'm sick of seeing muhammad's holographic mushrooms all over the place, but I don't mind the paths and some other stuff

NTA but I played DS1 when it came out and the structures and paths you and other players build decayed over time because of magic rain, so I guess that if you played it like 5 years later there'd be pretty much nothing besides what you build.

How small is the map?
I feel like, for a game like this, it has to be much much bigger and more empty... especially in Australia. There's too much shit everywhere and you kinda just want to fly on the bike between places but you can't. You don't get this problem in games with mere horseback exploration, but this game is 4x4 simulator and I feel like Australian 4x4 feels nothing like this game.

Actually, 4x4ing is pretty dope here IRL. Probably the one thing I didn't need a game for unless you could do shit you couldn't do in real life 4x4.

The thing about Deathstranding is everything is pretty cool except for the gameplay.
>Story/world is interesting (minus Kojima's cringe politics)
>Characters are wacky/weird
>Characters are played well, though some dialogue is strange
>Music is great
>Huge attention to detail
>Great graphics
>Great atmosphere
>Gameplay is literally just walking until you unlock the ability to build ladders, ziplines, and roads to do less walking
It is one of the most boring games ever created that people will say "I-IT'S COMFY" or something to justify feeling smarter than others.

Yeah but the roads and construction part of the gameplay has BIG potential. I was not in on this game until I heard you could build things to overcome obstacles.

One of the best parts of Kenshi is when you get a mod to build bridges and shit over terrain. I started to build rustic highways and it was super cool to be able to over come difficult obstacles, early game, with tech that you acquire latter in the game (because the mod made it so the tech was only available later in the game).

1. There is barely any combat in DS1.
2. You're incentivized to avoid combat. Not in a stealthy MGS way with tons of mechanics, but to just not engage.
3. The enemies are just there to damage your delivery of frozen whale sperm

What's pretty funny about this game is that most of it's haters are ESL third world, probably brown or dark skinned subhumans with broken english, they can't handle games like this that don't constantly provide them with cheap dopamine hits from leveling up constantly, loot, checklist boring open world missions for their underdeveloped monkey brains.

It's a white mans game through and through
