>finish playing game and turn console off
>everyone in the world immediately gets purged from memory and forced into stasis
this seems kinda fucked up
>The Forgotten Sadness of Videogame Worlds
You seem kinda fucked up.
things are gonna get so fucked when ai memory becomes persistent
>you killed me HOW many times??
dude... what if we're all just in some game on some guy's console he forgot to turn off?
>>713784140what if we're in an infinite hierarchy of consoles not being turned off yet, but we're the first to start turning ours off?

>>713783927 (OP)I don't get it. What would turning the command console off have to do with NPCs? The PC is still running.

That frustrum thing is actually how it works in real life. There's not nothing there outside your view, but what is there is unrelated to what you see when you put your view on it. Like for example you see your cat as this thing with its name, but your cat doesn't think of itself as that name. It doesn't have that name in objectivity. The named cat only exists in your mind and gets projected onto the anonymous cat.
>>713787656what if i embed my cats name directly into its brain via neural programming.
>>713787656But I can say "mr tinkles pss pss pss" and he'll come even if I can't see him.
