this will never happen as much as you and i would love to see it, "cost effectivness" to keep everything digital only is here to stay also why does it have to be disc and not a usb stick for example ? give them a nice design that fits their games too like that one for diablo 3 as much as i hate the game that usb looked very nice, give people an incentive to buy a physical copy again and how do we fix patching of those physical copies ? download servers to patch them wont stay forever ... unless that eu petition gets through which would be a good step forward to think about

>>713785270 (OP) >Digital disruption is what killed gaming. Herds like what's is more convenient over what's more valuable in the long term. This is why digital won and why AI will win.
>>713785270 (OP) >Console only Console gaming died when you didn't need special chips for everything. It's been just PC gaming with no standards since the 2000s. >Disc only This is just for people with shit internet and not even that given the presence of huge day-1 patches. If you need shit to be cheap, then just pirate.
PC only with no DRM is the way to go.

>>713785270 (OP) Hey can you stupid millennial cunts get this through your heads. With digital distribution AA and indie games get literally the same virtual shelf space as AAA monstrosities and the same technical back-end. When they had to ship physical games big box stores gave stuff that moves stock faster a much better shelf-life and availability, meaning there is naturally a massive bias to AAA dogshit with physical retail. All your stupid faggot childhood 360 games were based on this formula for success, which destroyed all the great genres and medium sized devs of the 1990s which were sold in specialty stores.
>>713785270 (OP) That's you opinion and I can respect that, but you're just displaying a cruel lack of critical thinking and I can just shake my head in judgement.
