Many such cases. Sometime bloat and game lenght is not a good trait for game. Especially when 80% of it is repeating same scenes and battles. Hundred Line Defense is the open world game like Starfield. Wide as an ocean and deep as a puddle.

I honestly did find it disappointing on how, on the gameplay side, it basically peaks in after act 1 and doing one of the longer routes of act 2. I had thought there be more variations with battles, but instead you basically get the same ones every single path aside from the rare exception here and there. Hell, even if some do then have a narrative purpose, you can go through a route that barely has any actual fights, leaving it as a full on VN at that point.
The team is lucky that most of the routes I’ve played so far at least (aside from Box of Blessings) have been engaging enough to read, though.

Danganronpa wasn't already good with characters and story. Now you also have Danganronpa minus killing game and funny mascot. It's literally a poor's man Wallmart version of Danganronpa. It's just a bad game and Kodaka no longer deserve to work on game dev

The main appeal of these games were the unique murder mysteries and killing game setting. Rain Code got rid of the setting which made it already bad but the hundred line doubled down on removing all the good aspects of Kodaka's writing and made it 4x longer than DR or RC were. Utter failure of a game. Even UDG was a better game and more cohesive experience. Should've known not to trust anything kodaka made since danganronpa V3-5 but eh. We live and learn
