Best Sims game, the atmosphere is unmatched.
Barely anyone talks about the sound design in this but I love all the little ambient noises like the fridge whirring, bubbles coming out of the aquarium, the grandfather clock ticking and the spooky sounds coming from outside at night if you have graves in your lot, while your sim is comfily reading a book on the couch. Very underrated.

the steam version is just missing a couple songs.
the game crash bug is present in the starter pack too. its cause of the game running a shit ton of small exe files for scripts. thats virus behavior post winxp.
just exclude the sims exe from your anti virus. exclude the folder too.

In some ways it's fucked with the fact you can have specific age lengths for different life stages like making babies and toddlers take as long as th eother stages but on the other hand it seems the most interesting and open one with all the different life states and expansions actually being unique

How are the sims 2 sex mods? The ones in 4 are good but im bored of the gameplay, 2 was always a better game but could be improved by being more fappable.

I just finished building the Iwatodai Dorm from Persona 3, cause I love building things from other games. There's already a decent one out there for 4 which really helped me with sizes and where everything goes, so I installed 4 just for that, but dear god it doesn't even have the ruler when building walls and floors while 2 does. It's no wonder I barely touched anything beyond 2.

Once i made a perfect replica of my house then i made me and i did in the game what i do in real life and it was one of the most depressing things i ever did in gaming.

I went from being able to play free full edition on Origin years ago, then not being able to play because they replaced Origin, then not being able to play because I actually needed Origin to install a thing to play without Origin, then being able to play with RPC, then not being able to play because I reinstalled Windows and I don't care enough to spend time fixing it.
