>>713792129 (OP)>what's wrong modern game devs? They are mostly American zoomers, born and raised on the West coast, brainwashed by the 2010's American identity politics shit.
Virtue signaling is their #1 focus, because they lack art and coding skills. This has combined with the late-00s' "Casual gaming" phenomena, that essentially means making small, simple and easy to access games for NON-gamers.
Thus, the modern day "game dev" has no passion, no skill, no inspiring game and literature products to look up to, and no face-to-face buddy socializing - thanks to social media being their literal playground since day 1.
As an older European ESL, it's piss easy to spot these Cali-Trannies from a mile away, even online. It's terrifying how many of these Pronouns-in-muh-bio creatures literally post shit like "OMG this one guy is a NAZI and a PEDO for not liking our nignog coded live service game! Cancel him and lynch the chuds!! ;)", on their public LinkedIn feed.
Finally, yes : these groups do NOT follow the ages old marketing rules of pinpointing your very precise target audience, and focusing your efforts to cater to that group. It's all wide-area shotgunning, resulting wasted time and resources, with the MARKETING alone nowadays taking more than 3/4 of potential development budgets on the AAA side of the industry.
Which is exactly why these big-nose, leeching middlemen job creeps working for various publishers are seething at small indie and mid-size friend studios making best selling games nowadays, skipping all of their cash swamp pits and proving once again that numerous old genres the triple-A fags claimed to be "dead, non-profitable play styles" do appeal to a shitton of people even in 2025... if done well.
