even if you get rid of /pol/ it won't change anything. state actors and private firms alike around the world can botfarm and trollfarm engagement anywhere they please online. /v/ will always be a target because there's so many unique users in a single day, all of whom fit in a nice demographic coalition. you'd need drastic changes to board culture starting with banning offtopic posts. we've tried word filters and they don't work because you can always create a new euphemism.
