When playing this I used to always have to think to myself "at least it's not SFV" but honestly, this shit might be worse. I was gaslighting myself into thinking I just needed to get better but playing CvS2 has shown me how scrubby and fake SF6 is.

SFV became a decent fighter starting with season 3. The game became great by the time CE released during season 4.

I remember there was a time when people went back to SF5 for a bit, but I would never. The way they absolutely fucked up Zangief in that game is unforgivable and makes SF6 superior by default

I liked SFV since launch but spent most of my time playing with friends in person, so I didnt have to deal with the god awful netcode. SF6 is one of the most boring games i've ever tried to force myself to like, and nothing will get me to come back, not even my favorite characters being put in

I missed his green hand a lot too, but its not worse than now where he can fucking slide halfway across the screen for a crouching jab into SPD. This entire game is bullshit

Zangief trannies should kill themselves
In SF6 you can just buffer SPD at all times because it being 6 on startup or whatever is just perfect for the game
And giving Zangief a tool to approach is a mistake too, it goes against the design philosophy of the character yet SF6 goes against everything SF was

I hated SFV, a lot of it had to do with the shitty OC overload with most of them being annoying as fuck to fight against, SF6 is just rotten to it's very core mechanically.

I think idea of a lot of the system are actually quite good, with the right balancing. The parry change was actually a great fix. I could literally write you an essay on this shit. So I'll just keep it brief to what the bare minimum is to make the game at least alright and not a complete piece of shit.

Weakens the mix-up heavily not only from the meter spend required, but having to drive rush for the throw prevents being able to shimmy.

Keep + frames on hit. Keep + frames from neutral drive rush. Just DRC on block specifically. Honestly the worst mechanic in the game and it's unironically ruining new players ability to learn how to play street fighter. It's teaching them wrong, as a joke.

That's all it would take to make me want to play the game competitively again. But it needs more work than that to become a great game. Get rid of the screen freeze on neutral drive rush, it's literally broken. As in, poorly functioning. Buff drev so it actually does something. It's the only pure defensive mechanic in the game and it's the absolute worst mechanic in the game. It feels like drev was designed specifically to beat DRC on block, but it loses to DRC jab on block and most of the time people are doing DRC jab on block incidentally. Because DRC jab on block is one of the strongest options for the mix-up it gives. Corner carry is too much as well. Most characters can carry you 2/3rds of the screen. Easiest fix would be to increase stage size. The throw tech meter change is a complete joke of a change. No one wants to tech any more than they did last patch, because you still eat 30-60% of your health into the corner into guess right or die if you get shimmied.

These are like 10% of my thoughts on this piece of shit game and how to fix it.

Everybody at top level realize the game is shit but can't say anything since they need to keep their viewers and the casual influx growing. Besides, what else they going to play? Tekken? lol.
