Got the day off so i can deliver packages and hike all day.
Im a few hours in and as far as i can remember is pretty similar to the first one. Which is good because the first one was great. Im reading way more into the lore this time. The weather is really cool. The sandstorm and river flooding was really freaking neat.
And man that intro cutscene really looked like live action at points. Looking forward yo whatever new stuff i see. And hopefully some new biomes i havent seen in trailers.

>>713801284Same. When I saw pic related, I understood what Kojima-san meant. We can pretend to do things. Which is whu I pretended to "play" the "videogame". I will watch the cutscene compilations on YouTube (if I'm even bothered to desu)
2019
>It's not a walking simulator! Kojima-san wouldn't do that.
>Okay it's a walking simulator. And that's a good thing. Americans are great fans of first-person shooters and Death Stranding isn't one, it flies higher.

God dammit its all shitposts
You did discover the hidden theme of death stranding 1 before jumping into 2 right?
>>713799538 (OP)Yeah it's basically just a more refined and cleaner version of 1 which is basically exactly what I wanted. The UI is so much cleaner in this one. I feel like all the mechanics just flow so much more smoothly between each other now which makes going about between delivering and combat way smoother.
>>713799538 (OP)>there are ""people"" playing a literal amazon delivery simulatorYou dunces are worse than forklift sim german fags. At least they don't have to suffer ridiculous Kojimbo's stories attached to their autism sims.
>>713801797Those losers will fuck off after their initial shitposts are done.
>>713801965So do we need to wait a few weeks? I wanna talk about games....
I just got to Australia, mate
>>713802078But it's not a game anon. It's a movie chopped up with walking segments in between.
>>713802078I mean I'm here to talk about the game so you can just ignore all the third worlders like
>>713802262
>>713802239I'm just about there myself. Have you unlocked roads yet?
>>713802313To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Death Stranding. The gameplay is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the trigger buttons most of the traversal will go over a typical gamer's head. There's also Kojima's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his writing - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Hollywood movies, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these references, to realize that they're not just films - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Death Stranding truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the meaning behind Amelie's existential catchphrase "Like Mario and Princess 'Beach'" which itself is a cryptic reference to videogame classic, Super Mario Bros. 2. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kojima's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Norman Reedus tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
>>713802313Lmao. You are here to shill, pajeet. And people laughing at the walking sim you are supposed to praise pisses you off.
Prease fund my next movie. I'm running out of money, my Hollywood friends are going to ignore me soon.
Always love when you can tell when all of the spam in a thread is just one unhinged schizo.
>>713802617It's all Indians! The ones fucking your Mom? Indians! The ones fucking your crush? Indians! The ones who turned you into a loser chud? Indians!
>>713801370Isn't this a movie reference?
Which film was it?
>>713802313Ok, ill try. How much have you played and what do you think of it?
So far the story has moved really fast. Sam went from "Me and lou solo 4 life" to agreeing to working for the UCA to lou dying to just doing the first game again. Feels really weird?
>>713803274I'm not too far, just got to Australia now. I still feel like I'm in the learning phase where the game hasn't really given me all the tools to have fun and go crazy with yet but in terms of how the game feels it's honestly just DS1+. Basically everything just feels better and more polished. I hope Australia isn't the only place you go to and we see some more environments. It's not as cutscene heavy as DS1 was in the beginning either which is good.
At the very beginning of the game, did anyone else not realize you can just walk on the peaks of the hills / mountains? I know it says "walk along the ridge" but I thought that meant the ridge before going down into the valley below.
>>713799538 (OP)is it more combat heavy than 1? it seems like they were really pushing that in the trailers. i didn't really enjoy fighting that much in the first game
>>713803494No, you could literally see the footprints of where Sam walked to get there so I just followed it back.
>>713803539I don't think so. It's not like there are more camps than 1 had but the experience of fighting is a lot better than it was in 1 and doesn't feel like an absolute chore. Combat is definitely the most improved area of the game but I don't think I'd say it's more of a focus.
>>713803521What happens if you fall with Lou here?
>>713803562Yeah the second time through the opening I figured that out. Completely missed it the first time.
In my defense the first time around I was playing it on my friend's PS5 and he was talking to me so I was distracted.
>>713802908>Walking simulatorYou didn't play the game.
This zipline lets me skip straight to the next Hollywank exposition dump.
>>713803660I was in the mood for looking at the scenery so I was walking up top anyway
