Because the original doesn't age well with modern audience. We need to add progressive messaging in our games by changing genders to type a and b and adding LGBT in the remake!

The real reason: gaming is a dying medium just like cinema and records. It was a generational phenomenon for millennials and zoomers, but the next generation won’t care for it. Alphoomers just play gambling games on their phones. Gaming is for boomers and will die once we all die. That’s why they’re remaking stuff from our childhood: this is the end of the road and now we’re just playing our greatest hits. The times of eld are over.
