AC was never good even the first game is repetitive slop with no reason to go past the first kill. Literal shovelware franchise that edgey teenagers latched onto because they desperately wanted to larp as an assassin not because the games were even remotely enjoyable.

They're far from perfect games but the ones I mentioned have great atmosphere. I just enjoyed navigating their worlds. A lot of it had to do with the really underrated animation work Ubisoft was doing in the 7th gen
