All I know is that when this guy showed up immediately after Gustave's death and took on his role in the party, I got narrative whiplash. It felt like such an odd decision, him having his own relationship system with the other characters and everything, but of course by the end of the game I understood that this is truly Verso's story, and I had started to deeply care about the character. Just masterfully written and voice acted
