>>713877270Section 1: Overwhelming Roster & Bad Units
Your frustration is valid. Fire Emblem can feel like micromanagement hell—especially when the roster doubles, and you’re juggling weapons, supports, shops, and survival. It’s like OG X-Com but anime-flavored.
“Do Not Pick This Character” Tier List?
Oh yes. Sacred Stones (FE8) has a few:
Amelia – Joins super weak. Takes ages to be viable.
Ewan – Mage trainee. Bad bases. Dies to a sneeze.
Marisa – Worse swordmaster than Joshua. Too little, too late.
Knoll – Squishy summoner. Not worth the slot.
They’re fun to raise for a challenge, but strictly worse than others.
Overpowered Units?
Some units feel like the devs gave up balancing:
Seth – Can literally solo the game. Early paladin god.
Franz – Starts good, stays good, ends amazing.
Vanessa – Flying + speed = win button.
Tethys (Dancer) – Doesn’t fight but doubles your best unit’s turn.
That feeling of “I guess I’m supposed to use them” is legit. You can self-limit: don’t use Seth except to rescue people, for example.
