Can we have a KF thread without relying on Souls posting? I recently finished KF3 and absolutely adored it. Never played KF1, is it worth going back just for curiosity's sake? I'm also thinking of trying The Ancient City out with that mouse injection thing

I've been streaming King's Field 1 and I can't wait to get to 2 because I remember playing it a lot on PSP.

Dont. The game speed is part of the experience. If you want fast mouse camera movement then just play Skyrim instead.

Maybe it's because I grew up on the Armored Core games but the KF control scheme never seemed that rough to me. It is weird that it took so long for Fromsoft to jump on the analog train though.

not constantly but it's one of the games currently in my rotation, I tried out Eternal Ring as a viewer request a while back and it seemed cool but I don't wanna jump straight into it without having played the others first

You should have played KF1 first before KF3 since it's basically the bare bones experimentation of the formual of the series.
It's more like a typical dungeon crawlers whereas 3 and 2 are more open world exploration and dungeon.
All of the game takes place in the dungeons including the npcs you talk to.
So if you can appreciate it for what it is you can still have fun and it's very short so you can go through it over the course of a night or two.
As for Ancient City, play it vanilla, it's going to be very slow in the beginning but you'll get used to it and adapt. It's also more like 2 than 3 though, there are no real towns like 3, the people you meet are spread out in all kinds of places.
