>>713839502 (OP)I can recommend two indie devs because they've both made enough solid games that it feels better to direct players to their pages on Steam.
>ondydevTres-Bashers and You Are Peter Shorts are his two most recent titles, both adventure games. Tres-Bashers is zippy, but Peter Shorts is an overall stronger title, especially since it comes with a built-in randomizer, and was also updated two weeks ago to allow for online play in ALL game modes.
>Punkcake DรฉlicieuxAntecrypt, Metavaxx, The Turgenev Study, Stray Shot, Moon Pong, all games of theirs. But the one you probably know best that became a runaway hit was Shotgun King. These devs are hard at work and are working on no less than NINE TITLES this year alone, including one guest published title called "10S FOREVER".
>Astalon: Tears of the EarthNot quite under 500 (844 to be exact), but this is a fun adventure game title with secret rooms out the ass and five playable characters total (two are hidden). It's only weak points are that you can toggle between characters at the start and there's only six major bosses total, but you'll likely get chewed up plenty by the enemies. It can also be pretty grindy if you don't know to find three secret rooms where you can destroy idols to increase the multiplier for collecting orbs.
>Odallus: The Dark Call (829 reviews)Again, not less than 500, but more people need to know about it. It can be a tough adventure game and it's easy to walk right past secrets, so you really need to slow down and map things out. It looks "retro" but is very much its own game with no easy comparisons to existing titles.
>Babushka's Glitch DungeonReleased nearly three months ago and only 69 reviews. A small adventure game where you play as an old Russian woman who discovers strange glitches near her home. She'll need to learn to mix and match two different spells to navigate through enemies and terrain alike. Love the game's art direction.
