Do you think that normalfags should should've been gatekept from gaming why or why not? Especially with the whales and corpo bootlickers that we have in the industry today?

If normalfags would have been gatekept from games, then the industry wouldn't have the money it has now, making dev teams more reduced and releasing games with worse graphics so yes

Gatekeeping does not work. Telling people they can't have something makes them want it more out ot spite. I think liberals shouldn't have been given office in 2008 which caused the gaming spiral of the 2010s leading to the disaster industry of today. Some companies are finally learning the hard way and admitting faults(Square enix) others are doubling down(Ubisoft gearbox) we'll see in the next 5 years or so if anything meaningful actually changes. I think 2024 and 2025 has shown a really strong pushback via sales and people are finally voting with their wallets because they're tired of getting fucked but for ever veilguard, concord, ass shadows, there's a switch 2 that people just cant help themselves with.

Usually when something is for fewer ones, it's better.

The quality of games decresed as soon as they became mainstream, and this is true for everything that becomes mainstream.

The problem then becomes how do you manage to gatekeep.
