It's a fake Roguelike AKA RNG Progression game
Depending on your RNG luck it will be anywhere between roughly 5ish hours to about 500 hours depending on how shit you are/how good the rng is

You effectively have to grind out to a specific boss 15 times to even get a chance at unlocking the door to Mega Satan

Of cousre you could just use debug mode/Da Rules mode to bypass all this slop if you want to see Mega Satan
or just stop being a faggot, regund it since you got scammed, download the mods you want via other methods and use a 100% save file

As someone who used to be a patreon of Boogies for a few years, and also used to be a hardcore Binding of Isaac guy - this isn't it.

Would like to have seen him commit to making and actual game - or finishing his old flash animations - than modding various games.
But I'd imagine they would end up being Vore shit - since thats 90% of what he makes now. Even this mod's got some amount of focus on it, with all the maw shots of his OC and her tongue wiggling around.

Isaac is such an old game too, and from what I can tell from the teasers I've seen its just Mega Satan + some of the fallen angels changed up and thats it?

not really, the biggest issue is learning your engine and some basic game design concepts, thats about it.
On top of that, he's still a fairly high profile NSFW artist, with plenty of connections in the scene, it wouldn't be hard for him to get together a small team of people and get a demo together -> some form of additional funding. He built his own website, can mod, can do art and animation, etc - he's got like 80% of the skillset required to make an actual game.

I actually find lewd mods for BoI fascinating from a narrative perspective because it completely changes the underlying theme. With shit like Lusting of Isaac and the like, the story becomes about a boy on the cusp of puberty feeling guilt for his carnal desires thanks to indoctrination from his religious mother, leading to him killing himself as penance for his lust.
