My peak was C2 in 2s, but that was some time ago. Now I struggle to stay in div iii/ii of C1.
The skill ceiling and meta has definitely evolved, I have the gut feeling Rocket League will become a game like Melee, where the meta keeps unoavoidably evolving as limits thought in the past impossible become the new standard.

peaked ssl but now im gc1 in 2s, you're right the mech ceiling is higher but solid rotations and not missing the ball is still the main thing. my advice to get better is to grind dribbling and flying courses, also use custom training and practice redirects and rebounds until they become easy, dw about flip resets and that shit too much until you've got good ground mechanics.
