It's fun but I feel it is worse than Prodeus.
The amount of fun you are going to have with this game depends on how much you like 40K autism because it is just Doom 2016 but cheesy, like way cheesier.
Like if there were Battle Sisters flaunting their goods, it would be Duke Nukem but with a less memorable level design.

I am currently playing Mullet Mad Jack myself.

Why would people who don't like cheese get into 40k? It plays a goofy-as-fuck premise so straight that it becomes rad again.

the purge segments got a little out of hand sometimes but I dont think I'd change them at all

It's worse than Prodeus and it's definitely worse than Doom 2016 but it's still an okay little shooter. In some respects it satisfies the fantasy of being a spess mehreen better than Space Marine itself

I wanna check out Mullet Mad Jack too, and in cases like that I'd lean toward too easy. Especially for that one since it looked like a really good game to zone out to

Boltgun is one of the least effective things you can put it on, since the Boltgun is already perfectly tuned for its intended role of hosing down low-tier enemies. Plasma gun is the go-to pick if it's available since it removes all the downsides and makes boss enemies a joke.
