I don't really see an issue here. They had to follow guidelines to release on console. They kept what they were able to and within reason. This is a console issue not a dev issue. It even states textures and stuff will remain the same. I could understand if this was, let's say, manhunt. But Ready or Not was always a swat simulation. Dismemberment is still a thing, but swat doesn't shoot people after the threat is neutralized. I don't see the issue here.

in the final mission of the game, you stop an illegal smuggling operation (weapons, drugs, etc.) and discover a creepy auction room as well as a shipping crate full of emaciated naked women. they are changing this to clothe them in tatters instead, which cheapens the shock a bit and definitely makes it feel more like a video game since it needs to be safe for little kids.

I'm referring to the level Twisted Nerve specifically. It will lose a lot of impact if you don't find the girl overdosing/convulsing but rather sleeping. That's a huge loss in terms of tone. Port Hoken's trafficked sex slaves being clothed instead of naked will also tone down the horror once you discover them. Other games also feature nudity and drug usage without crossing the adult only rating so I feel RoN is being singled out.

I'm okay with stuff like no dismemberment post death/arrest, that's fine.

RoN has a strong horror element that shouldn't be tampered with. VOID left team17 over Elephant (school shooting level) and they were better off. I've been down this slippery slope before and I thought RoN wouldn't succumb as other franchises have.

You can still kill civilians without your team betraying you, but it has to look like an accident. No up close executions of kneeling people. That said, you absolutely can lock your team in a room with a wedge and do whatever you like in a mission. You can even finish it and get to the rating screen.

I also downloaded an invincibility mod and had fun fighting my team. They can take a lot of damage, but you can blow all their limbs off with a shotty to put them down.
