Sharing themes isn't copying Anon it's just something two entirely different pieces of media have in common.

I played the first one for ~40 hours and im not really sure what it's about.
>something called the "death stranding" happened
>now when people die if they're not cremated they turn into nuclear bombs
>for some reason there is ghosts.
>babies can detect the ghosts because they're closer to the afterlife cause they were just born or something?
>the afterlife is a gross oily beach.
>because of the threat of anyone dying causing a nuclear explosion everyone spread out and moved away from each other.
>you play as sam delivery man and you're hooking everyone back up to the network they left for some reason.
>the bad guy is evil for some reason.

Hmmm I should really watch a gameplay for this... I don't know why they even bother making complex ass plots like this into video games though, sounds like it would have been better off as some straight to netflix slop show

I'm halfway through the first one and I don't care about the story, I just enjoy the feeling of delivering stuff and dealing with threats in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. It could be set the Fallout, Mad Max or Half-Life world just as well, I'd probably still enjoy it due to the way it feels to play it.

I actually like what I played but the story and gameplay almost get in the way of each other.
one minute characters are explaining some batshit wild concept to you,
>The BB can detect BT because of DOOMS
and then you don't talk to anyone of story consequence for ~10 hours.
then suddenly here's Mads Mlkelson in ww2/ww1 and that is somehow tied to the acronyms these people shouted at previously.

I think it actually would have been better if they just dropped you in this world and explained nothing to you, but the game spends slightly too much time telling you why/how plot things work.
