I am tired of waiting and avoiding spoilers.

Probably in 2 years. I have a PS5 but I am immune to FOMO. It's almost sad. I only buy games that are around ยฃ5 or I wait for a sale.

Now I will wait for Death Stranding 2 on PC for around 4 years or something when it's 50% off.

I am immune to hype, immune to FOMO, immune to spending a lot of money.

the anon is right. the combat is better though so it's fine.

I think DS2 is what kojima wanted DS to be, it's way more polished and there are so many small improvements that makes the game a lot more fun.

Fair enough. I'm only in the first half of Australia so maybe I just haven't noticed it yet. But yeah combat is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better in 2 it's by far the single most improved area over 1. I no longer feel like I don't want to take on any standard orders that take me to enemy camps to get items like in 1 where they were the worst types of orders.

I'm talking about when you lose your footing and start stumbling out of control but don't actually fall over, where you need to hold your triggers to readjust yourself. In DS1 when that happened if you bumped into a wall in that state you'd damage your cargo but it doesn't seem to happen in DS2.

its way better mechanically. controls are very weird on controller because they changed almost every single bind apart from jump and place on back but it works.
you can mark enemies by zooming into them like the binos from MGSV, and a whole lot more that's inspired from it
Stealth is also a lot more fun which is great

I think it just happens less often, but it will damage your cargo if you have too much momentum or the container is busted.
>>713896651
Yeah, definitely don't watch someone else play it if you want to experience it yourself. Getting the Coffin Board completely unexpectedly, for example, was awesome. There are a bunch of small surprises like that which would be much less impactful if you just watch a playthrough.

I like the mines and monorails as I see them actually working without my input cuase it actually makes it feel like I'm reconnecting the country this time unlike in 1 where it felt like I personally was getting connected with them individually but not them with each other. Also the silly social media thing is cute. I like it.

Passing a couple containers going the opposite direction while taking the monorail feels so nice, but I do wish there'd be NPC porters up there riding them, too.
Though, in DS2 it feels like I see way more porters than in the original, and they're always interacting with player's structures like taking paths other people wore down or taking shelter from timefall under their stuff.
The world definitely feels more alive.

NTA but If you're waiting on 2 to get a PC release and have nothing else to do sure. Though honestly that anon is spot on, 2 is such a direct upgrade over 1 and similar enough that it could make 2 feel a bit tried and tested you could honestly just skip 1 and get 2 when it comes out if you already know the story. But DS1 is in my top 10 favourite video games of all time so I'd obviously recommend playing it.
