Does it still have region locking? I thought it was kinda gay how if I wanted to play with my american friends I had to restart all over from scratch just to play on their servers. That was a while ago though.

I played the last two betas.

Pretty fun game but the prospects of its future look bleak. Solid core usurped either through monetisation or general gameplay-related fuckups as they start rolling updates.
Could always be wrong but I'd say play it early but without building any attachment to the game.

No hope.
The last beta was awful and focused entirely on the terrible extraction mode. The regular team based PvP is super fun but it was treated only as a distraction.

They actually listened and made it so the mod that drops there are only used in it, making it so you don't ever need to think about mashmek and just play normal pvp like that mode doesn't even exist.
Launch version will have a bunch of new maps for 6v6 and 3v3(which actually seems very anti-sweat with random map events and pick-up spawns) and all the (current?)mechs will be free unlocked from the very beginning

But like that anon said there is still plenty of chance for them to fuck the game with monetization and what not but we'll have to wait and see
I'm personally more worried about the online population since the console version apparently won't be out until the end of the year

I don't understand the purpose of Mashmak. Who is clamoring for a another extraction shooter?

I had a decent time with it. Aquila and Falcon were fun. Then again I'd take just about any scraps of a mecha game.
